Custom Cuba Travel

The Renewable Energy and the Environment Course we organized provided students at various graduate and undergraduate institutions with the opportunity to connect directly with Cuban students, academics and professionals in the field of renewable energy and the environment. 

 

This immersive experience allowed students to visit solar and hydro sites, meet with researchers and professionals and to discuss the legal frameworks Cuba has adopted as an island susceptible to sea level rise and climate change. By combing seminars with immersive excursions to connect directly with the Cuban people in this field, students came away with measurable understandings and outcomes related to climate, energy and the environment in Cuba.
