The Chamberlain School in South Burlington, VT will be the first in Vermont to send educational supplies to Cuba with the help of Custom Cuba Travel. The supplies will be brought to two primary schools in Havana by a group of our members and participants at the end of the month.
Members of Custom Cuba Travel and The Cuban American Friendship Society send people and supplies to the island regularly, and intend to continue to do so. The organizations plan to continue this partnership with the Chamberlain school to donate more supplies in the future.
"Despite the changes to the Cuba policy, the opportunity to engage in direct people-to-people exchange and humanitarian projects is still alive and well and we want to send that message," said Jared Carter, our co-director.
